On Wednesday afternoon, Namibia and Cameroon will face off against each other in the fifth round of the AFCON Qualifiers on a neutral pitch at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg (South Africa).

Namibia are #113 in the FIFA World Ranking List and #28 out of 53 teams in the CAF region. However, they managed to secure an appearance in the previous AFCON and even reached the 1/8 Finals, where Angola stopped them. Unfortunately for them, they were totally disappointed in these Qualifiers. They are in last place in group with zero points and are without a chance to secure another AFCON since there are just two games left and second placed Zimbambwe managed to win eight points.

Cameroon are one of the best African national teams. They are a team that pretty regularly appears in the World Cup and are the five-time AFCON winners. However, their recent results haven't been great as they failed to reach WC in Qatar and were eliminated in the 1/8 of the previous AFCON. After those poor results, a change in the coaching staff happened and the popular Lions started playing better. They easily secured the AFCON, winning ten points in the first four games. In the last two games, just like Namibia, they will not have too big of a motive because they have nothing to gain from those games.

Namibia vs Cameroon pick: Under 2.5 goals

Namibia are in terrible form. They managed to stop their six-game losing streak with a win over Lesotho (1:0) in the African Nations Championship Qualifiers. They have been really bad offensively and have scored just two goals during that seven-game stretch. So, it is unreal to expect a dominant offensive performance against such a strong opponent as Cameroon.

On the other hand, Cameroon have been excellent defensively keeping a clean sheet in three out of four games in the AFCON Qualifiers. Still, on the offensive end, we cannot say they performed too great, considering they scored one or zero goals in three out of four games. They even struggled to score against Namibia at home in the previous h2h game, winning just 1:0, so we do not believe they will score too much on a neutral turf in a match where they don't have a motive to win.

These teams have met three times so far, and we have seen fewer than three goals twice. Considering the previous h2h games, Namibia's terrible form, and Cameroon's excellent defense, we believe that an under 2.5 goals bet is the safest option for this tie.
