In the 1/8 Finals of the Danish Landspokal, a fourth-tier team, Naesby, will welcome the Superliga side, Viborg, at ALPI Arena Naesby in Odense.

Naesby were pretty close to securing promotion to 2nd Division last year. They managed to secure a Promotion Group but eventually missed the promotion by just four points. This season, they are not looking great, and securing promotion will not be an easy task. Right now, they are in 6th place with 20 points from 13 rounds - currently in the Promotion Group spot but just two points away from the Relegation Group. The season's highlight will definitely be this run in the Cup, considering they already eliminated the 1st Division team (second tier) - B.93. However, this game against Viborg will undoubtedly be an incredibly tough challenge.

Viborg are a team that pretty regularly traveled between the 1st Division and the Superliga in the recent past. Last season, they ended up in the Relegation Group but not even remotely close to being relegated. This season, they are doing pretty well, as they are in 8th place after 13 rounds, with just two points away from the Championship Group. In the Cup, so far they eliminated 2nd Division and 1st Division teams - Horsens and Middelfart.

Naesby vs Viborg pick: Viborg to win and cover the -1.5 AH spread

Naesby is not in particularly good form. They lost just three out of the last eight games and have scored 11 goals - 1.375 per game. So, expecting even a goal against such a strong opponent is pretty unreal.

On the other hand, Viborg are in very good form, losing only to Midtjylland in the last 11 rounds. Considering they faced some excellent teams like Aarhus, Nordsjaelland, and FC Copenhagen, we can safely say it was a massively successfull period.

Simply, the difference in quality between a fourth-tier team and a Superliga team is massive. If we add on top of that Viborg's much better form, anything but a comfortable win for Viborg would greatly surprise us.
