Nacional are not even close to the expected level this season. In the Uruguayan league, they are sixth on the table with 16 points from ten played matches, while the team from Montevideo started the Copa Libertadores last week with a 3-0 defeat on the road against Atletico Nacional. Nacional have been in a bad run lately, with four games without a victory. However, their last match, in which Nacional team won 4-0 on the road against Cerro Largo, may suggest that the better days are ahead for the team from the Uruguayan capital. 

Bahia started the 2025 season with the title in the Campeonato Baiano, one of the traditional Brazilian leagues. Although Rogerio Ceni's team headed to Serie A and the Copa Libertadores with a positive feeling, Bahia, in the last three games, ended with three draws. In the previous game, Ceni's team played 2-2 on the road against Santos. The teams were pretty even most of the match, so sharing points was probably the fairest possible outcome. Now, Bahia will travel to Montevideo, where they hope to secure their first victory in the elite continental competition after a 1-1 draw against Internacional.
