A thrilling match awaits us when Morocco and Zambia face off in a qualifier for the 2026 World Cup in Agadir on Friday evening.
After making history at the 2022 World Cup tournament in Qatar, the hosts went into the African Cup of Nations in January with plenty of confidence and as one of the favourites to win the title. The 'Atlas Lions' were amazing in the group stage, finishing their group as winners and unbeaten. Unfortunately, they crashed out in the round of 16 after a 2-0 defeat to South Africa and will certainly be looking to make amends in the World Cup qualifiers.
Meanwhile, Zambia were present at the AFCON after missing out on the 2022 World Cup. The visitors didn’t go beyond the group stage in the African Cup of Nations after picking up just two points from three games. However, Avram Grant may have been encouraged by the fact that his side only conceded three goals at the tournament.
Morocco vs Zambia Betting Tips: Morocco to win
While Morocco have not been at their best in their last three encounters, they still possess a roster packed with talent and will be looking to make it two wins out of two games in Qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. Zambia will not make this easy when one considers their stingy defence that has conceded under one goal in three of the last four encounters, but I fancy the Atlas Lions to edge the result.

Zambia team news
Head coach Avram Grant will continue to rely on the services of Leicester City forward Patson Daka who is eleventh in Zambia’s all-time goal scoring charts.
Daka is expected to lead the line and could be supported by the likes of Gamphani Jones Lungu and Kennedy Musonda, while Miguel Chaiwa will hope to make his fourth international appearance in the engine room.
