Monza will be looking to keep alive their hopes of extending their stay in the Italian top flight on Monday evening when they play host to Udinese.
The hosts have been in Serie A for the past two seasons. After finishing eleventh in the 2022-23 campaign, Alessandro Nesta's men fell off the pace last term, finishing twelfth in the table. Things have not improved this season. I Biancorossi are winless in their last six Serie A encounters and were recently thrashed 4-0 by Bologna in the last 16 of the Coppa Italia.
Udinese, on the other hand, are regulars in the Italian top flight, having avoided defeat in each of the last 24 seasons. Kosta Runjaić's men currently sit in the top half of the table, but their recent form hasn't been good. They go into Monday's game on the back of a five-game winless streak, and having conceded an average of two goals per game in their three away matches during that period, that winless run could well continue.
