- Kickoff: 18:00 UK / 19:00 CEST
- Venue: Stade Louis II (Monaco)
Monaco have mostly been among the best teams in France for over a decade. Last year, they finished second but not even close to the eventual champs, PSG. This year could easily be the replay of the last one, considering they are in second place but 19 points away from the top spot. So, the title is totally out of the question, but since Monaco and four other teams are three points away, securing a top-three finish will definitely not be an easy task. The main reason why they haven't been higher on the league's table is their poor road record (5-3-6), at least by their standards.
Strasbourg are playing a fantastic season, with the potential to be one of their best ever. The Blue-and-Whites are sitting in sixth place with 50 points in 29 rounds. While sixth place is not something special, the fact that they are only three points away from second place and their next opponent, Monaco, definitely is. In the first part of the year, it didn't look like this season could be a special one for Strasbourg. However, after winning seven in the last nine matches, they created a good opportunity to maybe secure the Champions League!
Monaco vs Strasbourg pick: Under 3.5 goals
Monaco have been excellent for this bet lately, as their last seven games finished with fewer than four matches. Also, throughout the season, they mostly played games under 3.5 goals - 69% (20 out 29). Moreover, in recent games, they have been in solid form and have done very well defensively, allowing only three goals in the last six matches.
Strasbourg are in great form, keeping a nine-game unbeaten run alive. Like Monaco, they did well defensively, especially away from home, where they kept a clean sheet in the last four consecutive games. Additionally, they have been fantastic for this bet away from home recently, as they were under 3.5 goals in the previous (road) eight league matches.
Considering all the above, but especially both teams' good defensive performances, we believe an under 3.5 goals bet is the safest option for this Ligue 1 tie.

Monaco team news
Striker Mika Biereth suffered an injury in the previous game against Marseille and had to leave the field in the 70th minute. His potential absence could be a massive factor, considering he has been their best striker. The 22-year-old arrived at the club in January and has scored 12 goals in 12 Ligue 1 appearances. Besides questionable Biereth, Kassoum Ouattara and Jordan Teze, who missed the previous games with injuries, should remain sidelined.
Christian Mawissa Elebi served his one-game suspension in the previous game against Marseille and will be available.

Strasbourg team news
Attacking winger Dilane Bakwa suffered an injury only minutes before the end of the last game against Nice and had to leave the field. He will most likely miss the Monaco game, which could be a problem for Strasbourg. The 22-year-old scored four and assisted for nine goals in 25 Ligue 1 appearances. Luckily, winger Diego Moreira served his one-game suspension, and we expect him to be back in the starting lineup.
Additionally, Alaa Bellaarouch, Moise Sahi Dion, and Mamadou Sarr, who missed the previous game(s), should remain sidelined.
