A huge clash in the race for promotion to Spain´s top flight sees Mirandes and Racing Santander battle it out this weekend. Placed third and second respectively in the Segunda Division, just one point separates these sides, and a competitive and engaging contest should be expected.

In a tightly contested top half of the division, only six points separates the top seven sides in the division, with promotion to La Liga still very much up for grabs.

Mirandes have enjoyed a brilliant run of form at the Estadio Municipal de Anduva, with Alessio Lisci´s side unbeaten in all but one their last 16 league matches in Miranda de Ebro. 

Impressively, Mirandes claimed wins in nine of their last 11 unbeaten home fixtures, including victories in each of their last six at this venue. 

Racing Santander come into Saturday's contest unbeaten in four games after a 2:1 win against Tenerife last weekend. One point clear of Mirandes heading into this fixture, José Alberto López´s side have built their promotion charge on a superb home record. 

However, on the road, Racing have failed to win seven of their last eight away Segunda Division contests. Los Racinguistas Verdiblancos have slipped to defeat in three of their last seven away fixtures and they could struggle against their in-form hosts this weekend. 

Often involved in high-scoring outcomes, eight of Racing´s 11 previous away fixtures saw BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored. 

While those outcomes have strong chances, I'm putting my money on Mirandes maintaining their superb winning run at Estadio Municipal de Anduva.
