Mezőörs, a fourth-tier team in Hungarian football, made a fantastic effort in the Cup as they reached the 1/32 Finals. But that shouldn't really surprise us because they did great in the last season in the Cup when they managed to reach the 1/8 Finals, where Vasas eliminated them after a penalty shootout. In the league, Mezőörs are doing very well as they are in second place with 21 points in eight rounds and are one of the main contenders for promotion.
Paks have become one of the top teams in Hungary in recent years. Last year was one of the best seasons in the club's history as they finished 2nd, behind Ferencvaros, and won the Hungarian Cup. Unfortunately for them, they failed to make it to Europe despite having a fairly easy route in the Qualifiers and are now focused on domestic competitions. For now, they are doing fine in the domestic league, currently sitting in 3rd place with 16 points - two away from the top spot, although with a game played more.
Mezőörs vs Paks pick: Over 3.5 goals
Mezőörs are a team that regularly scores goals. So far, they have scored 22 goals in eight league games - 2.75 per game. So, even though they are playing in lower leagues, we believe they are capable of scoring a goal against Paks, which haven't been great defensively this year, especially away from home where they haven't had a clean sheet in the last five matches.
Paksi are the best offensive team in the Hungarian first league with 15 scored goals in eight rounds - 1.875 per game. They have scored even more goals than the Hungarian juggernaut, Ferencvaros. In fact, they just beat Ferencvaros 3:1 in the previous round. So, if they are capable of scoring so many goals against the top-level teams in the country, we expect a lot from them against Mezőörs.
Considering both teams' offensive performances, we believe that an over 3.5 goals bet is the safest bet for this Hungarian Cup tie.
Mezőörs team news
According to Hungarian media, there was a major scandal in one of Mezőörs games. Two Mezőörs players punched each other mid-game, and there is a big question about how good the atmosphere among the players is.

Paks team news
After a massive 3:1 win over Ferencvaros, coach Gyorgy Bognar spoke to the media. He was very happy with his team, saying they performed well both individually and as a team. "We attacked Ferencvaros, and it worked in the first half. We defended in the second half and kept the result," the coach added.
The team should have no new injuries, but Janos Hahn, Norbert Szelpal, and Alen Skribek, who missed the previous games, should remain sidelined.
