- Kick-off: 19:00 UTC / 20:00 CET
- Venue: Estadio Municipal de Marbella
A place in the second round of the Copa del Rey will be at stake on Thursday night when Marbella and Burgos face at Estadio Municipal de Marbella.
The hosts beat Bergantinos 2-1 in the first round, while Burgos secured a commanding 5-2 win over Mostoles to get this far.
Marbella enjoyed an impressive form between the closing stages of October and early November when they went unbeaten in five games, registering four wins and one draw but things changed quickly. Fran Beltrán’s side bring a run of five consecutive games without defeat into Thursday’s encounter – a run that saw them suffer four defeats.
Burgos have also struggled to put up a run of good results of late. The Burgaleses boast just one win from their last eleven games in the Segunda Division – nine defeats and two draws. They will be hoping to turn things around this week but their recent record away from home hasn’t been good as they lost six of their last seven games on the road.
Marbella vs Burgos Betting Tips: Under 2.5 goals
Scoring goals has been one of the major problems of Marbella in recent weeks. The Little Whites failed to score in three of their last five games and two of those games were at Estadio Municipal de Marbella.
Burgos conceded three goals against Levante last weekend, but that was a rare scenario. Luis Miguel Ramis’ side conceded under two goals in three of their last four matches and as many games ended with under 2.5 goals.
- Best Tip: Under 2.5 goals
- Marbella vs Burgos prediction: 1-1
Marbella team news
Alberto Soto missed the defeat to Atletico Madrid B last weekend due to a suspension, but the midfielder will be available for Thursday’s Copa del Rey game.
After his brace in the first round against Bergantinos, Dorian Hanza is expected to retain his place in the middle of the park and could be joined in the engine room by Ernest Ohemeng and Aitor Puñal Rodríguez.

Burgos team news
After his side failed to hold on to an early lead against Levante last time out, head coach Luis Miguel Ramis is expected to make changes to his Burgos XI this week.
Having featured as a substitute in that game, Borja Sánchez - who has two goals to his name this season is one of those expected to benefit from the shake-up.
