Mansfield return to home comforts having finally broken their miserable losing run with a 3:3 draw at Blackpool on Saturday. The Stags had lost seven successive fixtures before their weekend point on the road.

The Stags have endured an alarming mid-season slump, though, with defeats recorded in each of their last four home fixtures. As a result Mansfield have dropped down to 15th in the division, but still ten points clear of the drop zone.

A lack of firepower has proven an issue in previous games at One Call Stadium. Nigel Clough's side failed to score in three of those four recent home defeats. All three losses finished with under 2.5 goals scored.

Lincoln City makes the trip to Mansfield in similarly uninspiring form. The Imps lost eight and won only two of 12 games played since Boxing Day. 

On the road, Michael Skubala´s side have struggled, picking up just one win from their last 12 away League One fixtures. Their poor recent form has seen them drop down to 13th in the division, just two points ahead of the home side.

Like Mansfield, low-scoring outcomes have been more common than not. Five of Lincoln´s seven previous fixtures saw fewer than three goals scored.

With both sides struggling for form, a low-scoring outcome seems likely on Tuesday. Under 2.5 goals is my top tip, with Lincoln perhaps the likelier to emerge victorious.
