All eyes will be set at the Etihad this weekend when Manchester City and United go head to head in the first Manchester derby of the 2024-25 Premier League campaign.

Manchester City just can't seem to get things right at the moment. The Citizens have won just one of their last ten games and failed to score three times in that time. Pep Guardiola's men travelled to Turin in midweek to take on Juventus in the Champions League where they risk being knocked out. It was a similar story with City conceding first and losing, but the Citizens will take heart from the fact that they have won each of their last six league meetings with Manchester United.

For Manchester United, a slow start to the season led to the sacking of Erik ten Hag and the subsequent appointment of Ruben Amorim, who enjoyed a great spell at Sporting CP. The latter has been unable to turn things around for Manchester United in the Premier League, with the team taking just four points from the four league games he has been in charge of and the Reds are just five places above the red zone.

Man City vs Man Utd betting Tips: Over 2.5 goals

City have been all over the place defensively in recent months and with John Stones, Manuel Akanji and Nathan Aké all ruled out of Sunday's game, those defensive problems are not going away any time soon. The Citizens have conceded at least two goals in all but one of their last ten matches, and only two of those games ended with the score under 2.5 goals.

Manchester United have also struggled defensively since the appointment of Amorim over a month ago. The Red Devils kept just one clean sheet in their last six matches and half of those games resulted in at least four goals.
