A tight contest can be expected with Mallorca and Real Sociedad both struggling to find much early-season form in La Liga. Five games into the season, both teams have won just one match, and currently sit 12th and 16th in the division, respectively.

Mallorca return to action just three days on from a 2:1 defeat against Villarreal while Sociedad also slipped up over the weekend, with a 2:0 defeat against champions Real Madrid.

Goals have been in short supply for both sides, with each scoring just three goals apiece from their five games played.

Recent encounters between these have also proven low-scoring with only one of their last nine meetings seeing more than two goals scored. Four of their last six encounters also finished deadlocked and a repeat outcome could be on the cards this Tuesday.

Considering both teams recent lack of goal-scoring firepower, this match seems likely to finish with less than three goals scored.
