Mallorca are playing one of the best seasons ever in La Liga. After years in the lower half of the league's table and even in La Liga 2 and Segunda Division, the Pirates are looking like a team that could reach Europe. They are currently in 5th place with 24 points in 15 rounds - one point away from 4th placed Villarreal, although with two games played more. To be fair, securing the CL isn't a realistic goal, but reaching some of the weaker European competitions looks pretty achievable.
Barcelona had a poor last season, as they finished without winning any trophies. This year, despite having massive injury problems, they started strong in all competitions. However, lately, there are some signs of weakness as they started to drop points where they usually don't. Still, they are holding the top spot with 34 points - four points away from the second-placed Real Madrid, but with two played games more. Considering their recent performances, the Catalan team will not have an easy job against a pretty good Mallorca team.
Mallorca vs Barcelona pick: Over 2.5 goals
Even though Mallorca aren't a team that constantly plays high-scoring games, they were easily over this line in the previous two games. They won back-to-back games against Valencia (2:1) and Las Palmas (3:2). Besides, Barsa had problems defensively, and we believe the Pirates could score at least once here.
Meanwhile, Barcelona's offense is among the best in the World, and scoring a couple of goals against anyone shouldn't be a problem. This season, they have scored at least two goals in 16 out of 20 (80%) games in all competitions. However, defensively, they showed some weakness in recent games, as they had only one clean sheet in the last six matches.
The last h2h game at Estadi Mallorca Son Moix finished as a 2:2 draw. Considering all the above, we believe an over 2.5 goals bet seems like the best option for this La Liga tie.

Mallorca team news
In the previous game against Valencia, midfielder Robert Navarro and right full-back Mateu Morey Bauza suffered injuries and had to leave the field. For now, there aren't official news about the seriousness of their injuries, but both could miss the Barca game.
Besides Navarro and Bauza, the players who missed the previous games with injuries should remain sidelined - Takuma Asano, Jose Copete, Ivan Cuellar, and Toni Lato.
Meanwhile, Vedat Muriqi served his one-game suspension against Valencia and should be back in the starting lineup.
