Anfield is the location for a classic Premier League confrontation this weekend as table-toppers Liverpool host an out-of-sorts Manchester United.
Liverpool vs Manchester United Betting Tips: Liverpool to Win / Over 2.5 Goals
An in-form Liverpool will be confident of maintaining their winning form when they face their struggling rivals on Sunday.
Unbeaten in 23 matches across all competitions, Arne Slot´s men extended their winning run to four games with a thumping 5:0 win at West Ham last weekend. Mo Salah continued his sensational form with his second-half strike making it 30 goal involvements in only 18 Premier League games played this season.
Scoring for fun, the Reds bagged 18 goals across their last five games, while they have bagged at least two goals while winning ten of their last 11 home fixtures.
In contrast, Manchester United make the trip to Anfield having lost each of their last four matches. After a bright start under new boss Ruben Amorim, the Red Devils have leaked 18 goals in their last eight matches with a minimum of two conceded in six of those fixtures.
The fallen giants have endured a dismal run of EPL results in recent weeks with defeat suffered in five of their last six league fixtures. United conceded at least two goals in four of those five defeats.
While the Red Devils have shown an ability to raise their game this season, it would take a seriously impressive performance to halt the Liverpool juggernaut this weekend. Both recent form and past meetings suggest things could get ugly if the Reds get off to quick start on Sunday.
In the end, a comfortable home win seems inevitable. I expect Liverpool to score at least three goals in what should prove another tough day at the office for the visiting Red Devils.
