Lithuania continue the search for their first win since October 2023 on Monday when they welcome Finland to Kaunas for a 2026 World Cup Qualifier.

The hosts endured another disappointing Nations League campaign, with Edgaras Jankauskas' men losing all their six League C outings. They also conceded the second-most goals in League C, finding the back of the net just four times. Rinktinen did try to give their fans something to cheer about in midweek when they almost held Poland to a draw.

Finland are also coming off a very disappointing Nations League campaign. The visitors lost all six of their matches in League B Group 2, conceding a total of 13 goals and scoring just twice. Jacob Friis' side responded with a 1-0 win over Malta on Friday night and will now be looking to secure back-to-back victories for the first time since November 2023 on Monday.

Lithuania vs Finland Betting Tips: Under 2.5 goals

Both sides are struggling offensively at the moment but they are not also giving away too many goals.

Lithuania failed to score in each of their last two, conceding just one goal in both encounters and one of their last two games at home also ended with just one goal.

Finland boast just one goal from their last three outings and conceded under one goal in two of those fixtures. Bets on under 2.5 goals won in all three encounters.

  • Best Tip: Under 2.5 goals
  • Lithuania vs Finland prediction: 0-2

Lithuania team news

After an impressive defensive display against Poland last time out, Lithuania coach Edgaras Jankauskas is likely to stick with his back three.

Thus, Artemijus Tutyškinas, Edgaras Utkus and Kipras Kažukolovas will shield Gertmonas, while Giedrius Matulevicius will be hoping for a place in midfield.
