Linfield are by far the biggest football club in Northern Ireland, winning 56 league titles! Yet, their last title was three years earlier, and they are trying to change that this season. And indeed, for now, they are doing a great job considering they are firmly holding the top spot. So far, they have won 48 points in 22 rounds, are already 12 points away from the second-placed Dungannon, and have played one game fewer. As it stands now, it would take a miracle to stop them from winning their 57th title this season.

Larne are the team that managed to stop Linfield from winning the title in the previous two seasons. Those two titles are also the only major titles in the club's history. Still, after two great seasons, Larne aren't doing such a great job this year. Right now, they are in 9th place, but that is only because they have played five or more games less than most of the league. If we take a look at their point-per-game, they are on pace for the second place but still pretty far away from Linfield. So, they have to win all three points here in order to close the gap between them and the top spot.

Linfield vs Larne pick: Under 2.5 goals

In recent games, Linfield played almost exclusively low-scoring games, as they were under 2.5 goals in the last three and in seven out of the previous nine. While their defense has been on point for the entire season, their offense is struggling, and that is the primary reason for this many low-scoring games.

Larne, on the other hand, are the best team for this bet in the league with 12 out of 16 league games ending with fewer than three goals.

Additionally, both teams have been absolutely great defensively recently. Linfield kept a clean sheet in the last four, while Larne kept their net intact in the last three matches.
