An entertaining Ligue 1 clash is set for the Decathlon Arena on Monday evening as Lille hosts Lyon.

With only three rounds of fixtures remaining in the Ligue 1 season, Lille come into Sunday's contest knowing only a win will do as they look to maintain their Champions League qualification hopes. 

Currently fourth in the division, the hosts sit one point behind third-placed Brest, with the top three sides in France assured of direct entry into Europe´s premier competition. 

Despite a painful Europa Conference League exit at the hands of Aston Villa last month, Lille have been in good form domestically. LOSC have won four of their last five Ligue 1 matches while they have lost just one of their last eight.

At the Decathlon Arnea, Fonesca´s men have been particularly strong with wins picked up in six of their last seven league matches. Lille are unbeaten in 30 of their last 31 home matches while they have not lost any of their last 12 on home soil. The home side have also scored at least two goals in six of their last seven matches in front of their own support.

Lyon come into Monday's contest also in strong form with nine wins and only two defeats recorded from their last 12 Ligue 1 contests. After a disastrous start to the campaign, the Gones have been rejuvenated under new boss Pierre Sage. Lyon won just one of their first 14 league matches this season but have since won 12 of 17 Ligue 1 games.

On the road, Sage´s side have been especially impressive with five wins in their last six away matches. Lyon scored at least two goals in all five victories.

With both teams in such good form in respective home and away fixtures, we could be in for a hugely entertaining battle on Monday. I´m backing BTTS and over 2.5 goals - outcomes witnessed in three of the last four meetings between these rivals.
