Two sides with totally different ambitions for the remainder of the campaign meet on Friday night as Leganes play host to Rayo Vallecano.
Leganes returned to the top flight this season after four years in the Segunda Division. Their top-flight campaign didn't start well, with Los Pepineros taking just two wins from their opening ten games, but they have grown into the season. Borja Jiménez's side prepare for the visit of Rayo this week game with plenty of confidence after avoiding defeat in each of their last six matches (three wins & two draws). Rayo Vallecano have also been in fine form in recent weeks. Iñigo Pérez's side are fresh from the come-back victory over Girona on Sunday at home where Randy Nteka scored twice. However, the fact that Rayo Vallecano have not won successive La Liga games this season is a cause for concern.

Leganes have relied heavily on their defence over the last few weeks and I think that will play a key role on Friday. The hosts finished just three of their last seven league games without conceding, but two of those clean sheets came against Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.

Enric Franquesa has missed the last 29 games of Leganes with a cruciate ligament injury and the defender is not expected to return to action before August.
Given the performance and result against Athletic Club last weekend, head coach Borja Jiménez is expected to resist the temptation to make alterations to his Xi.
