On Friday evening, two promotion contenders, Leeds United and Leicester City, will face off in the 34th round of the Championship at Elland Road in Leeds.
Leeds got relegated last season in their third consecutive season in the Premier League and are looking for an instant return this year. The Whites had a pretty poor start to the season, but as the season progresses, they are only looking better and better and are now 2nd with 69 points, two away from 3rd-placed Southampton, but with one more game played. Additionally, Leeds are doing great in the FA Cup as well, reaching the 1/8 Finals, but they had a pretty easy route. Now, after the Leicester game, they will face Chelsea in the 1/8 Finals at Stamford Bridge.
After winning the Premier League title in the 2015/16 season, Leicester were mostly in the upper half of the Premier League's table. Still, last season, they had a terrible end of the season and surprisingly got relegated to the Championship. This year, from the very start of the season, the Foxes look like the primary candidate for promotion. However, they will have a hard task versus Leeds in the upcoming game, considering the Whites are one of the few teams that won all three points against the Foxes in the first part of the season. With a potential win vs Leeds, Leicester would take a massive step in securing the direct promotion and potential Championship title.
Leeds United vs Leicester City pick: Both teams to score
Leeds United are in superb form, with eight league wins in a row. Combined with the FA Cup, the Whites have not lost in the last 11 games. Offensively, they have been really good, scoring 24 goals in 11 matches - almost 2.2 per game. At home, the Whites scored at least one goal in 17 of 18 matches in all competitions, and we believe they are capable of scoring even against the best team in the league, Leicester.
With 69 goals in 33 rounds, Leicester City are the best offensive team in the league. Interestingly, away from home, the Foxes average slightly more goals than at home. Their offense has been on point throughout the season, and we do not worry about their ability to score against anyone. However, their defense has not been as good lately. Because of it, seven of the previous ten Leicester's games in all competitions finished with both teams scoring.
Considering both teams' offensive potential and recent goalscoring form, we strongly believe that both teams should score in this Championship game.

Leeds United team news
Striker Patrick Bamford suffered a calf injury in the warm-ups for the Swansea game and missed the previous game vs Plymouth. According to credible sources, Bamford will most likely not be ready for the Leicester game. The 30-year-old striker had been in excellent form in the previous month and a half, scoring five goals in nine games, and was the team's first option during that time. However, Leeds United have many good options up front.
Besides Bamford, the players who missed the previous games with injuries should remain sidelined: Samuel Byram, Stuart Dallas, Karl Darlow, and Pascal Struijk.

Leicester City team news
Midfielder Wilfred Ndidi should be the only injured player on the team. The 27-year-old Nigerian has been out with a muscle injury for almost two months.
After a rare 2:1 defeat in the previous round vs Middlesbrough, midfielder Harry Winks spoke to the media. He said they must keep going and that it's normal to lose games sometimes. "All we can focus on now is Leeds and make sure we have the right mentality for that and go into it with the right attitude," the midfielder added.
