The Estadio de Gran Canaria plays host to La Liga action on Thursday evening as Las Palmas welcomes Real Madrid to the Canary Islands.

Las Palmas vs Real Madrid Betting Tips: Real Madrid to Win / Over 1.5 Goals

Real Madrid make the trip to the Canary Islands after picking up their first win of the La Liga season with a somewhat flattering 3:0 win against Valladolid on Sunday. Level at half-time, and only one goal ahead going into the final stages, late goals from Brahim Diaz and summer signing Endrick secured the points for Les Merengues.

Back on the road after a frustrating 1:1 draw at Mallorca on the opening day of the season, Real will be confident of getting back to winning form. Prior to dropping two points in the Balearics, Carlo Ancelotti´s side had won nine and drawn four of their 13 previous away fixtures.

Unbeaten in their last 34 league games since last September, Real have every chance of getting the win they crave against a Las Palmas side winless in 16 league matches after a 2:1 defeat at Leganes last weekend.

Since a 2:1 defeat to Real Madrid last January, Los Amarillos have lost ten and won only one of 18 league matches. At this venue, they remain without a win in any of their last eight league matches (D4, L4).

Real also boast a strong recent record in this fixture. Last season´s 2:1 win  was their seventh success in nine previous encounters over the past 24 years. Las Palmas last tasted victory with a 4:2 win all the way back in 2001.

Given the hosts' poor form in 2024, and Real´s desire to return to winning form on the road, I expect Ancelotti´s side to claim another victory on Thursday.

Las Palmas conceded at least two goals in five of their last six La Liga defeats, and a similar outcome seems likely this week.
