Girona are undoubtedly the biggest surprise in La Liga, but Las Palmas are not far from it. Los Amarillos returned to the Spanish top-flight division after five seasons in La Liga 2, and they are doing absolutely great for now. At this moment, Las Palmas are 8th with 31 points, just four points away from the European spots. That is surely not their primary goal, but if they improve offensively, everything is possible.
Real Madrid are coming to this year after winning only Copa del Rey last season, which is surely not enough for one of the biggest teams in the World. This year, they already won the Super Cup and are doing great in the Champions League, where they will face RB Leipzig in the knockout phase. In La Liga, Los Blancos are only one point away from the 1st-placed Girona, but with game fewer. Their only dark spot of the season is the loss to Atletico Madrid in the Cup.
Las Palmas vs Real Madrid pick: Both teams to score
Las Palmas are in good form, winning two in a row versus pretty good teams, Villarreal and Rayo Vallecanno, while scoring five goals. We cannot say they have been too impressive offensively, but they are scoring pretty regularly on their pitch and have scored at least once in eight of ten games this season.
Real Madrid are probably the best team in Spain this year, and with 43 goals scored in 20 rounds in La Liga, they are only behind Girona in that department. Throughout the season, they have been good both offensively and defensively, but in recent games, we could see a big decline in their defensive performances, and we do not trust them to keep a clean sheet. In the last five games, Los Blancos allowed nine goals - 1.8 per game.
Real Madrid are objectively a better team overall, no doubt about it. However, since the odds are too low on their win and Los Blancos haven't shined defensively in recent games, both teams to score bet looks much better than a -1/-1.5 AH bet on Real Madrid.

Real Madrid team news
The team's best player this season, Jude Bellingham, collected his fifth yellow card vs Almeria and will serve a one-game suspension against Las Palmas. Jude is the team's top goalscorer with 18 goals in 26 appearances this season in all competitions.
Due to long-term injuries, the team will miss Eder Militao, David Alaba, and Thibaut Courtois. On the other hand, right full-back Lucas Vazquez will most likely be ready for the Las Palmas game. He was on the bench in the previous game vs Almeria, and we do not expect him to start any time soon, but he could play limited minutes.
