Las Palmas impressed everyone with last season's start. They were fantastic, and it even looked like they could reach the European spots after the first half of the season. However, the second part of the season was a disaster, and they looked pretty much like the worst team in the league. Los Amarilos continued with poor results this year and are in 19th place after ten rounds - two points away from the safe zone. As it stands now, the bookies see them as the worst team in the league and offer odds between 1.6 and 2.0 to get relegated.
Girona was last season's sensation as they went toe-to-toe with Real Madrid for the majority of the season, and it looked like they could make a massive surprise and win the title. Unfortunately for football fans all over the world, Girona lost steam in the last part of the season but still managed to secure the Champions League appearance. This year, things aren't going according to plan, as they are in 12th place with 12 points in ten rounds. Still, constant injuries are a very big reason for their poor start to the season.
Las Palmas vs Girona pick: Under 2.5 goals
Las Palmas managed to win their first game this season in the last round against Valencia 3:2. Even though they scored three goals, we believe they were a bit lucky and, according to xG, should have scored just 1.14 goals. But generally, they aren't looking great offensively this season and have scored zero or one goal in seven out of ten La Liga games.
Girona have been really inconsistent this season. However, most of their good games happened at home. Away from it, they won just one game and have scored over one goal once in six games in all competitions. Due to a poor offensive display, they were under 2.5 goals in four out of six road games (67%).
Last season, Girona won both h2h games. But more importantly for our bet, both games finished with fewer than three goals (1:0 and 2:0). Considering the previous h2h games and all the above, an under 2.5 goals bet should be the safest option for the upcoming La Liga tie.

Las Palmas team news
After a 3:2 win against Valencia, coach Diego Martinez spoke to the media. He was happy and said they had to "click" after 23 games without a win. He noted that it was a good win but that there are still a lot of things they need to correct.
Marvin Park should remain sidelined with his hamstring injury. He will be sidelined until early November, while Sandro Ramirez could return to the field after missing the previous three games with a muscle injury.
