Two newly promoted sides in the Norwegian top flight go head-to-head on Monday as Fredrikstad welcome Kristiansund to the Aker Stadion in Molde.

After beating Valerenga 5-4 on penalties, Kristiansund returned to the top flight for the first time in two years, and they seem to be making good use of the opportunity. Amund Skiri’s side are currently winless in two matches, with that run featuring a 5-0 defeat to Brann, but the most important thing is that the club is five places above the red zone.

Fredrikstad meanwhile had a campaign to remember in the first division last season. The visitors won Division 1 with a six points difference over runners-up KFUM and in doing so secured their first ever promotion to the top flight. Having lost only two of their twelve games so far, Mikkjal Thomassen’s men sit in the top four and are looking to continue this form.
