  • Competition: COSAFA Cup
  • Date: 2nd July 2024
  • Kickoff: 11:00 UTC +1 / 12:00 CEST
  • Venue: Isaac Wolfson Stadium

Zimbabwe will be looking to maintain their 100% start to the COSAFA Cup when they take on Kenya in KwaZakele on Tuesday morning.

Kenya kicked off their first ever appearance at COSAFA Cup in style as they scored two past Zambia without reply, but that performance couldn’t be repeated on matchday 2. The Harambee Stars suffered a 2-0 defeat to a Comoros side seven places below them in the African FIFA World rankings last time out and that has left them a must-win situation for Tuesday’s game.

Zimbabwe meanwhile are one of the most successful sides in this competition. The Warriors have been winners on six occasions but their most recent title came over seven years ago. After back to back wins against Comoros and Zambia on Matchday 1 and 2 respectively, they aren’t only favorites to win Tuesday’s game, but also COSAFA 2024.

Betting Tips Kenya vs Zimbabwe: Under 2.5 goals

Kenya shipped two goals against Comoros in their last COSAFA Cup encounter, but that was a rare scenario. Indeed, the Harambee Stars have conceded more than one goal in just one of their last seven games across all competitions. None of the last four produced more than two goals.

Zimbabwe are yet to concede a goal in COSAFA 2024. All the two games of the Warriors have ended with under two goals and their last meeting with Kenya in a competitive match didn’t produce a single goal.

  • Best Tip: Under 2.5 goals
  • Kenya vs Zimbabwe prediction: 1-1

Kenya team news

Kenya head coach Ken Odhiambo will be without the services of Paul Ochuoga on Tuesday due to a suspension.

Ochuoga will serve a one match ban after he got dismissed for two bookable offences against Comoros last time out.

The absence of the left-back could see Geoffrey Onyango get his first start of the tournament but Elly Owande Lefta is also an option.
