Two sides struggling for Bundesliga II form come together as bottom-of-the-table Jahn Regensburg look to break a five-game winless streak at BBBank Wildpark.

Picking up just eight points from 15 games played this season, Andreas Patz´s side have endured a tough run of results which has seen them collect just one win from 13 Bundesliga games played since August. 

Already five points short of safety, Jahn Regensburg face a long-battle to avoid relegation, as evidenced by their dismal away form. The visitors lost each of their first six away Bundesliga II games of the campaign, leaking 22 goals in the process. Patz´s men did at least pick up their first point in a goalless draw at Eintracht Braunschweig two weeks ago.

While clearly defensively vulnerable, Regensburg also failed to score in eight of their last ten league matches, ruling out the potential for a BTTS pick, despite Karlsruhe´s consistency in that market.

Christian Eichner´s side return to action this weekend looking to bounce back from consecutive 3:1 defeats against Kaiserslautern and Hamburg. While not in the best of form with just one win picked up in their last six league matches, Karlsruhe, placed 9th in the division, already find themselves 15 points clear of the struggling away side

As mentioned, high-scoring outcomes have been frequent for the home side. Eichner´s side saw BTTS in nine of their last ten games, while eight of those saw at least three goals scored.

Still, with the visitors struggling to score, I'm putting my money on Karlsruhe to get back to winning form on Friday evening.

A home win is my top tip, while we are also likely to see a minimum of three goals scored.
