Kalmar vs Brommapojkarna prediction 14.07.2024

We are nearing the middle of the season, and it is already obvious which teams will be in the lower part of the table and fight to avoid relegation. Both our teams from Sunday, Kalmar and Brommapojkarna, are in danger. Kalmar are currently in the relegation playoff position, while Brommapojkarna are only two points ahead. The upcoming game in Kalmar could mean a lot for both teams, as both could separate themselves from the drop zone with a win. 

Kalmar had big problems during May, as they won only one of the last five games before the international break. However, during the break, Kalmar won two friendly matches, while last weekend, Henrik Jensen's team secured all three points in the first league game after the break (2-1 on the road against AIK). The home side was a big favorite to win, but Kalmar recorded a surprising win. Three wins in a row, including friendly games, gives Kalmar a lot of confidence that the rest of the season will be much different. 

Brommapojkarna wins are rare, but luckily for them, their defeats in the previous few months were also rare. Brommapojkarna lost only two of the last eight matches, including friendlies. In the first game after the break, they lost 3-0 on the road against Elfsborg. Olof Mellberg's team was no match in that game, so they suffered a defeat that brought them one step closer to the relegation zone.

Four of the previous five Kalmar matches (including friendlies) were with three or more goals. On the other hand, five of the previous six Brommapojkarna games were with three or more goals. Over 2.5 goals should be the best bet for this tie.
