An intriguing contest sees Bayern Munich arrive in Turin as favourites, but the Bundesliga champions can expect a tough tie against their Italian hosts.
Juventus come into this contest in excellent form with victories picked up in each of their last eight fixtures across all competitions. Massimiliano Canzi´s side also kicked off their UCL campaign with a 1:0 win in Norway against Vålerenga last week.
Particularly strong in home fixtures , Juve have an excellent recent record in UCL matches played at the Stadio Comunale Vittorio Pozzo Lamarmora. The Italians won eight while remaining unbeaten in their last 12 home UCL fixtures.
Bayern Munich come into Wednesday's contest after a surprise 2:0 defeat at Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga last weekend. The German champions had won eight successive matches since the end of August before their stumble at Volkswagen Arena.
An impressive performance saw Bayern ease to a 5:2 win against Arsenal in their first Group C contest last week with Pernille Harder bagging a late hat-trick in Munich. However, Alexander Straus´s side had failed to win six of seven previous UCL games.
On the road, Bayern lost three and won just two of six previous away UCL fixtures and whether they can add to that tally remains to be seen.
