Jove Espanyol vs Real Sociedad Betting Tips - Under 3.5 Goals

Real Sociead come into Thursday's Copa del Rey contest as overwhelming favourites to secure their place in the next phase against competition debutants Jove Espanyol. 

The Basque visitors make the trip to Catalonia in high spirits after an impressive 1:0 win against La Liga pacesetters Barcelona before the international break. 

Imanol Alguacil´s side have shown some signs of improvement after a slow start to the season with four wins picked up from their last six fixtures.

Historically strong in Copa del Rey road matches, Sociedad won 12 and lost just one of their last 14 away ties since 2021. Five of their last six away CDR victories saw two goals or fewer scored.

Jove Espanyol make their debut in Spain´s top cup competition having failed to win any of their last five matches. After losing all four games played in October, Josip Višnjić´s side picked up a 1:1 draw in their most recent outing against Soneja in the Third Division RFEF. 

With no previous experience at this level, it's difficult to make too many assumptions about Thursday´s outcome. While an away win has to be expected, Sociedad´s cup history suggests a low-scoring victory for the Basque´s could be on the cards.
