England begin their UEFA Nations League B campaign when they take on Ir          eland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Saturday.

Ireland vs England Betting Tips - BTTS

Beaten finalists at Euro 2024, the English also have a new man in the dugout, with Lee Carsley taking temporary charge following the departure of long-serving head coach Gareth Southgate.

While unbeaten in 18 of their last 21 internationals, England can expect a stiff test in Dublin against an Irish side that will be highly-motivated to gain a positive result against an old rival.

Recent form hasn´t been great for the home side, with six defeats and just two wins in their last ten international fixtures. However, recent friendly performances against Belgium (0:0) and Hungary (2:1) suggest this is an Irish side that is going in the right direction.

While once previously defensively secure, England have struggled to keep clean sheets in the past year. The Three Lions have seen BTTS in five of their last six matches, while they have kept clean sheets in only three of their last 12 international fixtures.

Previous meetings between these nations have been keenly contested, with Ireland boasting a strong record in home fixtures. The Irish are unbeaten in their last four meetings in Dublin while four of six previous matches in Ireland saw BTTS.

A tough match to call, England seem likely to claim the points in Carsley´s first match, but given their previous record in Ireland, I prefer to take a chance on both teams scoring in Saturday's Nations League clash.
