Inter won their 20th Scudetto last year in a super-dominant fashion. Since they kept their team and only added depth, everyone expects them to do well this year in all competitions. While some football experts say that they are not on last year's level, we believe in this team. Nerazzurri are on the path to reaching the 1/8 Finals in the Champions League and in Serie A, and they are doing well also. Right now, they sit in third place with 34 points - three away from the top spot. Still, they have played one game less since Fiorentina's game was interrupted on the 1st of December. So, with a potential win, Nerazzurri could climb to the top spot.
Como managed to secure a Serie A appearance after finishing 2nd in Serie B last year. They returned to the Italian top-flight division after more than two decades and are only looking to survive somehow. For now, they are doing OK and are 16th with 15 points, but they are just one point away from the danger zone. Currently, Como are on a three-game unbeaten run, but securing a positive result against one of the best teams in Italy and Europe will definitely be a challenge.
Inter vs Como pick: Inter to win and cover the -1.5 AH spread
Inter are in excellent form, winning five out of the last six matches. They beat teams like Lazio, Udinese, and RB Leipzig and covered the -1.5 AH spread in four out of those five wins. Also, at home, Nerazzurri won nine out of 12 games - 75%. So, beating Como should be a must.
Meanwhile, Como stopped their nine-game winless streak with a win over AS Roma (2:0) in the last game. Even though that was a fine win, that was only one game, and that was at home. On the road, Como have been really bad, winning just once in ten games in all competitions.
The difference in quality and form is too great. Combined with a home-pitch advantage, anything but a big win for Nerazzurri should be a surprise for us.
