- Competition: Coppa Italia
- Date: Wednesday, 23rd April, 2025
- Kickoff: 20:00 UK / 21:00 CEST
- Venue: Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) (Milan)
After a 1:1 draw in the first leg of the Coppa Italia Semi-Finals, city rivals Inter and AC Milan will face off in the second leg on Wednesday evening at their mutual stadium, Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro).
Inter won the Scudetto last year but failed to impress in the cup competitions (Champions League and Coppa Italia). This year, Nerazzurri aren't as dominant in the league as last year, but are still the main favorite for the title. However, with the latest loss against Bologna, they are now on a level with points with second-placed Napoli. On the other hand, Nerazzurri are doing a much better job in the mentioned cup competitions. In the CL, they just eliminated Bayer Munich and will face Barcelona in the Semi-Finals. When it comes to the domestic cup, the bookies see them as a favorite to reach the finals, offering odds of around 1.5 on that bet.
AC Milan, on the other hand, are playing one of their worst season in a very long time. Pretty much their only good moment of the season was in the Super Cup, where they managed to win the title. However, Rossoneri were easily eliminated from the Champions League 1/16 Finals in a duel vs Feyenoord, where the bookies heavily favored them. And, in Serie A, they are sitting in 9th place with 51 points - six points away from European spots. It seems their best chance of reaching Europe this season will be through the cup, but that will not be an easy task against the city rival.
Inter vs AC Milan pick: Inter to win
With a 1:0 loss to Bologna in the last round, Inter stopped their 13-game unbeaten run. However, that was on the road against a very good Bologna team. But before that loss, they looked really good, beating some fantastic teams like Bayern Munich, Atalanta, Udinese, Lazio, Feyenoord, etc...
AC Milan are in pretty poor form, winning only one game in the last five matches. Also, this year, if we exclude the "irrelevant" Super Cup, AC Milan had very little success against the top five teams in Serie A. Against Inter, Napoli, Atalanta, Bologna, and Juventus, Rossoneri had a truly worrisome record of one win, three draws, and six losses.
Throughout the season, Inter showed a lot more, and we simply believe they are a better team overall. Considering all the above, we expect Nerazzurri to win and secure the Coppa Italia Finals (probably) against Bologna.

Inter team news
In the first leg, midfielder Kristjan Asllani served his one-game suspension in the Coppa Italia and will be available. Even though he is not among the best midfielders on the team, his return is important because Inter have a few injured players and plays on multiple fronts.
Valentin Carboni, Denzel Dumfries, Marcus Thuram, and Piotr Zielinski, who missed the previous game(s) with injuries, should remain sidelined.

AC Milan team news
After a 1:0 loss to Atalanta in the last round, coach Sergio Conceicao spoke to the media about his future with the team. He said they had already won one title (Super Cup) and would try to win the second one in the cup. "Winning two trophies in one season... I don't know how long it's been since Milan managed that," the coach added.
The team should have no new injuries, but Emerson Royal, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Kyle Walker, who missed the previous games with injuries, should remain sidelined.
