Hull City vs Coventry Betting Tips - BTTS
Hull City welcomes Coventry Argyle to the MKM Stadium on Monday with both teams still desperate for points for very different reasons.
While the visitors remain in the hunt to secure a playoff spot, Hull come into this Championship fixture still fighting to avoid relegation. The Tigers sit 19th in the division, just two points above the drop zone with five games still to play in the season.
A decent run of form has seen Hull win three and lose two of their last seven games, however they remain frustratingly inconsistent in home fixtures. Rubén Sellés´s side won three but lost four of their last ten Championship games at the MKM Stadium.
Defensively vulnerable in home fixtures, Hull failed to keep a clean sheet in all but one of their last 18 matches at the MKM Stadium. As a consequence of their issues at the back, six of the Tigers last eight games in Hull saw both teams get on the scoresheet.
Coventry make the trip to Hull after a hard-fought 1:0 win against Portsmouth last week. Still sixth in the division, the Sky Blues remain on course to secure a place in the end of season playoffs.
A recent sticky spell has seen Frank Lampard´s side lose three of four previous matches before their much-needed win against Portsmouth.
On the road, Coventry have been up-and-down, with five defeats and four wins recorded from ten previous away Championship fixtures. Like the hosts, clean sheets have been rare, with the Sky Blues conceding at least one goal in eight of their last ten away fixtures.
Each of the last five meetings between these sides finished with both teams scoring, and considering both teams recent home and away results, a similar outcome seems likely on Monday.
BTTS is my best bet at the MKM Stadium.
