- Competition: League One
- Date: Tuesday, 4th March, 2025
- Kickoff: 19:45 UK / 20:45 CET
- Venue: John Smith's Stadium (Huddersfield)
On Tuesday evening, two promotion candidates, Huddersfield and Wrexham, will face off in the 35th round of the League One at John Smith's Stadium in Huddersfield.
Huddersfield suffered relegation last season and are trying to make an instant return this season. Right now, they sit in 5th place with 58 points from 34 matches - six points away from 2nd place and direct promotion but with a game played more. So, it seems that securing the playoffs is their maximum. But that will definitely not be an easy job, considering they only have two points more than 7th-placed Bolton, with one game played more.
Wrexham has flourished under Rynew owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. The club already secured two consecutive promotions and is aiming for its third. The Red Dragons are sitting in 3rd place, only two points away from the 2nd placed Wycombe. However, the upcoming schedule is very challenging as they will face Huddersfield (5th), Rotherham (14th), Reading (9th), Wycombe (2nd), and Stockport County (4th). Only one of those games will be against the teams from the lower half of the league's table.
Huddersfield vs Wrexham pick: Both teams to score
Huddersfield have been inconsistent lately, as they won three and lost two in the last five games. Strangely, their worst games came at home, as they haven't won in the last six matches and are under pressure to win points. Also, even though they had bad offensive games at home recently, we believe they will bounce back with a good performance. This year, in 20 games in all competitions, the Terriers scored at least one goal on 14 occasions - 70%.
Meanwhile, Wrexham have been great offensively. They scored at least once in 21 consecutive games before the last match when they drew 0:0 with Bolton. But it was a miracle they didn't score there with the amount of chances they created. Ultimately, they had 2.01 xG, while Bolton had 1.25 xG. Moreover, away from home, Wrexham have been fantastic for this bet, as we saw both teams scoring in six out of the last seven matches!
Considering all the above, we believe that both teams to score bet is the safest option for this Championship tie.

Huddersfield team news
The team is having massive injury problems. The newest injury is that of midfielder David Kasumu, who picked up a hamstring injury in the Wigan game and missed the trip to Stevenage for the last game. However, according to some reports, the midfielder could be ready for the Wrexham game.
Besides questionable Kasumu, the ones who missed the previous games should remain sidelined - Radinio Balker, Rhys Healey, Tom Iorpenda, Herbie Kane, Tom Lees, Mikel Miller, Matthew Pearson, and Danny Ward.

Wrexham team news
In the previous games against Bolton, striker Paul Mullin was left out from the squad. The striker has been getting very little playing time lately, and it seems he is no longer in the coaches' plans.
Luke Bolton, William Boyle, Callum Burton, Andy Cannon, and Ollie Palmer, who missed the previous games with injuries, should remain sidelined.
