The Estadi Municipal de Montilivi is the venue for a UCL fixture on Tuesday evening as La Liga hosts Girona takes on Premier League visitors Liverpool.

Girona vs Liverpool Betting Tips: Liverpool to Win / Over 2.5 Goals

Premier League leaders Liverpool arrives in Catalonia after enjoying a free weekend following the postponement of their weekend fixture against city rivals Everton.

Aren Slot´s side may have benefited from the extra days rest having extended their unbeaten run to 17 matches after being held to a dramatic 3:3 draw at Newcastle in their most recent EPL contest last Wednesday. In one of the games of the season, the Reds were pegged back in stoppage time after fighting back from behind to lead 3:2 with only minutes remaining on Tyneside.

A superb run of form sees Liverpool sitting at both the top of the Premier League and Champions League. Slot´s men won all five of their UCL games played this season with 12 goals scored and just one conceded. A home defeat against Nottingham Forest remains the only blot on their copybook this season.

The Reds have shown some defensive vulnerabilities in recent away matches, though. Liverpool conceded at least two goals in each of their last four road fixtures.

Still, despite those concerns, the EPL leaders remain unbeaten on their travels this season with eight wins and two draws collected from ten games played. Seven of their nine most recent away games also saw at least three goals scored.

Girona comes into Tuesday's encounter in less convincing form after a disappointing 3:0 home defeat against Real Madrid on Saturday. Míchel Sánchez´s side have lost three of their last four matches across all competitions, while they have suffered defeats in four of five UCL games played in this debut campaign in Europe´s top competition.

High-scoring outcomes have been fairly frequent in Catalonia. Five of Girona´s last seven home games saw over 2.5 scored and I expect a repeat outcome on Tuesday.

With Liverpool in high-scoring form, particularly on their travels, an away win with a minimum of three goals scored is likely to prove the best bet at Estadi Municipal de Montilivi.
