Girona vs Las Palmas Betting Tips - Over 2.5 Goals

Girona will be looking to address an alarming slump in form when they take on Canary Island visitors Las Palmas in what promises to be an entertaining La Liga contest.

Michel’s side return to domestic business on Monday after a hard-fought 2:1 reversal against Arsenal in their final Champions League fixture. The Catalans have now lost four successive matches since a 1:0 win at Alaves three weeks ago.

While inconsistency has proven the biggest issue for Girona this season, Michel´s men have proven a reliable choice in the goal markets. Girona saw at least three goals scored in 12 of their last 15 league fixtures at Estadi Municipal de Montilivi. More recently, the Blanquivermells saw over 2.5 goals netted in five of their last seven matches.

Las Palmas arrive in Catalonia also in the midst of a poor run of form which has seen them pick up just one point from their last four league fixtures. After losing three successive matches in January, Diego Martinez´s men picked up a 1:1 draw against Osasuna last weekend. 

Much like the home side, Los Amarillos have proven a great choice for goal chasers, particularly in away fixtures. Nine of Las Palmas last 11 road games saw over 2.5 goals scored, including a 4:1 defeat at Real Madrid in January, and a shock 2:1 win at Barcelona in December.

With those numbers, a high-scoring encounter seems more likely than not on Monday, so I'm putting my stake on a minimum of three goals scored.

Over 2.5 goals is my first tip, with the expectation that both teams can score in Catalonia.
