GAIS comes into Monday´s fixture having made a reasonably strong start to life in Sweden's top flight. Back in the Allsvenskan for the first time since 2012, the home side have picked up ten points from six games played this season. 

Following a heavy 4:0 home reversal against Brommapojkarna on the opening day of the season, Fredrik Holmberg´s side have responded well with three wins from their last five league fixtures, including two victories on their travels.

At the Gamla Ullevi, GAIS scored an impressive 2:1 win against Mjällby, and they will be confident of taking something from an IFK short on form this season.

Indeed, the designated visitors sit two points behind their local rivals ahead of Monday's fixture. IFK did claim a much-needed win in their most recent outing - a 3:0 win at Brommapojkarna. Jens Askou´s side have failed to win their last four home matches and while this is technically an away fixture, it remains to be seen if IFK can improve their form at Gamla Ullevi - a venue shared by both teams.

A tough match to call given the inconsistencies of both teams this season, I fancy both teams to score in a likely feisty derby contest. GAIS claimed a 2:1 win when these sides last met in the Swedish Cup last season while the hosts have seen the same outcome in three of their last five matches.

While by no means a banker pick, particularly with IFK´s low-scoring numbers this season, I still expect both teams to find their way to goal in Monday's derby contest. GAIS have yet to keep a clean sheet this season while IFK should be lifted after their away win last week. BTTS looks the best bet for this Allsvenskan clash.
