- Venue: Gamla Ullevi (Göteborg)
With the Summer break over, Allsvenskan is underway again. One of the most exciting matchups in the 13th round will be between GAIS and Hammarby, which will take place at Gamla Ullevi in Göteborg.
GAIS had two really interesting seasons as they secured two promotions and returned to the Swedish top-flight division after 11 years. This season, they surprised pretty much all football pundits, considering they are 5th, on a level with points with Hamarby. They are just two points away from European spots and have played one game fewer. The primary reason for their outstanding season is an excellent home record, but in order to secure Europe, they will have to start winning more points away from home.
Hammarby are playing their tenth consecutive season in a row in Allsvenskan. In recent seasons, they were in the upper half of the league's table, securing Europe in three of the last four seasons. This year, they are once again looking like the top four or five teams in the country. Considering 1st-placed Malmo is already 11 points away, the title is pretty much out of reach, and their primary target is securing Europe.
GAIS vs Hammarby pick: Over 2.5 goals
GAIS are playing great at home. They won five of six games while scoring two or more in all of those five wins. So, scoring a couple against pretty much everyone is an entirely real scenario. Because of their excellent offensive display, they were over 2.5 goals in 83.3% of their home games (five of six).
Hammarby are the best team for this type of bet in Allsvenskan, with 11 of their 12 games ending with three or more goals. They have been scoring and conceding a lot this season, which continued even in the friendly matches over the Summer break, as we saw four goals in their two matches against Varnamo and Brommapojkarna.
Considering all the above, we expect a high-scoring game, most likely with both teams scoring.

GAIS team news
On July 2nd, the club added forward Hedlund Lucas from Mezokovesd-Zsory on a free transfer. The 25-year-old Swed played very little for Mezokovesd-Zsory in his six-month period in Hungary and we expect him to be only a backup option up front.
The team should have no new injuries, but Binaku Egzon and Richard Friday should remain sidelined with their long-term injuries.

Hammarby team news
The team's defense significantly worsened in this transfer window as one of their key central defenders, Kurtulus Edvin, left the club for 2.2 million euros and joined Ludogorets.
The only player to miss the upcoming game should be Frederik Winther. He missed almost the entire season with a knee injury and will most likely be sidelined for a long time.
