The League Cup continues on Tuesday with a likely competitive contest between London rivals Fulham and Tottenham at Craven Cottage.

Both teams come into this cup contest on the back of excellent weekend Premier League results.

Hosts Fulham scored a remarkable late equaliser to secure a 2:2 draw at Arsenal despite being reduced to ten men in the second half. 

Tottenham also enjoyed a fine away performance, with Ange Postecoglu´s men emerging from their trip to Bournemouth with an excellent 2:0 victory. Spurs have now collected seven points from a possible nine in the first weeks of the campaign. 

Under the recently appointed Aussie boss, Spurs look a vastly improved side and, while only three games into the season, remain unbeaten under the former Celtic manager. 

Fulham cannot be under-estimated, though, particularly after that rousing fightback at Arsenal However, the Cottagers have a miserable recent record against Spurs.

At this venue, Tottenham have won each of their last seven games against Fulham since 2011. Given their improvements this season, it would be surprising if the Lilywhites winning run at this venue were to end on Tuesday.

While goals can usually be expected when Spurs are involved - Saturday´s clean sheet at Bournemouth was their first in 10 away PL games - I´m backing the visitors to maintain their winning form with another confident display at the Cottage.
