Freiburg are just one win away from finishing in the top four and qualifying for the Champions League, but if they want to keep their hopes of such a scenario alive, a win against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday is a must.

The hosts have failed to reach the level required to qualify for the Champions League in recent weeks, failing to win any of their last four Bundesliga matches. Last weekend they suffered a 2-1 defeat against Union Berlin, their first after three unbeaten home games.

Borussia Dortmund picked up all three points in their last Bundesliga match with a 3:1 win against Mainz and can still have hopes of qualifying for the Champions League, but must show more consistency in the remaining matches of the season.

In addition, Freiburg have not won a single match in their last 14 meetings with Borussia Dortmund.

Dortmund have been more or less inconsistent all season, either winning or losing and showing little to no potential to maintain momentum. Dortmund are also vulnerable defensively, having failed to prevent a goal in five consecutive matches.

Given the defensive frailties of both teams and the fact that both teams have scored in 6 of their last 8 meetings, we expect Saturday's match to be the seventh time both Freiburg and Dortmund have scored.
