FC Zurich vs Young Boys Betting Tips - FC Zurich or draw

FC Zurich and Young Boys battles it out for a place in the semi-finals of the Schweizer Pokal on Thursday with both teams in mixed form this season. Placed eighth and sixth in the Swiss Superliga, just one point separates these sides, with both struggling to find much consistency in performance over the course of the campaign.

Young Boys have enjoyed a better run in recent weeks, claiming four wins from their last five fixtures. However, three of those four victories came in home fixtures, with Thursday´s visitors showing much less consistency on their travels.

Indeed, Giorgio Contini´s side have slipped to defeat in five of their last seven away fixtures across all competitions. Young Boys managed only two wins from 14 previous road games since the start of October (W2, D3, L9).

Zurich have also struggled to find much consistency this season, but a strong recent record against Young Boys should give Ricardo Moniz´s side plenty of reason to be optimistic this week. FCZ won four and lost only one of their last seven home matches against the away side.

Ricardo Moniz´s side have picked up victories in two of their last four home fixtures, including a 2:1 win against Yverdon Sport last weekend,

With Young Boys so short on winning form in away matches, I fancy Zurich to at least avoid defeat on Thursday. I'm putting my stake on the hosts in the double chance market.

Head coach Moniz is likely to retain faith in much of the same XI that edged past Yverdon Sport. Jahnoah Markelo could come into the starting selection after making a goal-scoring substitute appearance on Saturday.
