Everton will be looking to continue their recent impressive run of form when they welcome reigning Champions Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.

David Moyes' appointment for a second spell as head coach turned things around for Everton. The Blues have suffered just one defeat in their last 12 leagues games and while it can be said that most of those games ended in draws, they have taken points from some strong opponents. Everton beat Spurs, Brighton and Forest, whilst playing draws with Arsenal and Manchester United.

Man City, meanwhile, are having their worst campaign since the appointment of Pep Guardiola in 2016. The Citizens will no longer be in a position to defend their title but must instead try to qualify for the Champions League, and they aren't the only ones in the fight.

Everton vs Manchester City Betting Tips: City to win & Under 3.5 goals

There have been some improvements for Pep's side and they showed it against a good Palace side last weekend. City came from two goals down to win 5:2 and extend their unbeaten run to five games.

Everton's strategy since Moyes returned to the club has been to keep games as close as possible. In fact, the Toffees haven't conceded more than one goal in any of their last six matches, with an equal number of games ending with under two goals scored.

Everton's recent encounters with Man City have also been less than entertaining, with only one of the last seven meetings producing more than three goals.

  • Best Tip: Under 3.5 goals
  • Everton vs Manchester City prediction: 0-2
