Everton will be looking to continue their recent impressive form in the English top flight on Sunday afternoon when they play host to in-form Chelsea.

Hosts Everton endured their worst start to a Premier League campaign in 65 years this season. Sean Dyche's men took just one point from their opening five league games, while conceding 3+ goals in four of those outings. The Toffees have since turned things around with a few wins and draws to move three points above the relegation zone.

Chelsea alongside Liverpool are the two most in-form sides in the English top flight at the time of writing. The Blues beat Shamrock Rovers 5:1 in the Europa Conference League in midweek to make it eight wins on the spin and will be looking to extend that run at Goodison Park this weekend.

Everton vs Chelsea Betting Tips: Under 3.5 goals

The season started badly for Everton, especially defensively but that problem has been solved. Sean Dyche's side held Arsenal to a goalless draw last weekend and have conceded under one goal in ten of their last eleven Premier League games. Bets on under 3.5 goals won in eight of those games.

Recent meetings between Everton and Chelsea at Goodison Park have also been less than entertaining. Everton kept a clean sheet in three of the last four and there were no 2+ goals scored in any of the four games.

  • Best Tip: Under 3.5 goals
  • Everton vs Chelsea prediction: 0-2

Everton team news

Chermiti has barely featured for Everton this season due to a foot injury and Sunday’s game will come too soon for the forward.

With head coach Sean Dyche expected to retain his XI after the draw with Arsenal last time out, Dominic Calvert-Lewin will continue to lead the line alongside Iliman Ndiaye and Jack Harrison.

Chelsea team news

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca will again be without the services of Wesley Fofana on Sunday due to injury.

Fofana has a muscle problem that is expected to keep him out until New Year's Day, and the defender is not the only injury concern for the visitors.

Reece James and João Félix are also ruled out of this weekend's trip to Goodison Park, while Marc Cucurella is suspended after seeing red against Brentford.
