A place in the last eight of the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations will be at stake when Equatorial Guinea and Guinea face off on Sunday evening.
Equatorial Guinea have not often participated in AFCON finals, but the few times they have, the boys have made a name for themselves. The Elephants are making their fourth appearance at the finals of the competition, and progressed to the quarter-finals on all three previous occasions. Juan Micha's side will be looking to continue that streak on Sunday, but Guinea stand in their way.

Kaba Diawara's men have not really impressed me so far in this competition. They managed a draw in their opening game against Cameroon before narrowly beating Gambia to qualify for this round.
Equatorial Guinea are the team to watch. The Elephants have the services of the top scorer at this tournament in Emilio Nsue and humiliated hosts Côte d'Ivoire 4-0 in their last game. Guinea Equatorial also scored four goals against Guinea-Bissau on matchday 2.

The 34-year-old will make his 40th appearance for the national team on Sunday and could be joined in the final third by Iván Salvador, who has already scored two goals at this tournament and Jannick Buyla.
