Australia will travel this week to England to face the Three Lions as part of their preparation for the upcoming 2024 World Cup qualifiers in November.

With their elimination against France in the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Qatar, England once again failed to impress at a major tournament. The Three Lions have moved on since then, however, winning five of their last six games across all competitions. Gareth Southgate's side currently sit top of Group C of the 2024 European Championship qualifiers and defeated Scotland 3:1 - in Glasgow, Scotland - in their last friendly encounter.

This time they host an Australian team that also played in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The Socceroos finished second in a group with France, Denmark and Tunisia, meaning they should not be taken lightly.
