On Tuesday evening, Eldense, a La Liga 2 side, will welcome Valencia in the Copa del Rey 1/16 Finals at Estadio Nuevo Pepico Amat in Elda.
Eldense made massive progress in the previous seasons, as they earned two promotions in three years and are only looking to survive in La Liga 2. Unfortunately, that isn't going according to plan, considering they are in the danger zone at the moment. They are in 19th place with 21 points from 21 matches. Even though they are just two points away from the safe zone, their recent performances definitely raise concerns.
Valencia are no longer among the teams that battle for Europe, far from it. Now, they are looking like a relegation candidate, and that is something no one definitely expected. And as the season progresses, they are only looking worse. Right now, the Bats are 19th with 12 points from 18 matches - four points away from the safe zone. Even in the Cup, they did not shine, and they had a really weak schedule, beating lower-league teams, CP Parla and Ejea.
Eldense vs Valencia pick: Under 2.5 goals
Eldense are in terrible form, failing to win in the last four games. They struggled offensively, scoring just two goals in that period - 0.5 per game. If we look further back, Eldense scored one or zero goals in six out of the last seven games, so it is hard to expect a good offensive performance from them against Valencia.
Valencia are also in bad form, with just two points in the last five matches and four scored goals - 0.8 per game. Also, away from home, the Bats really struggle to score, and if we exclude the Cup games against weak teams, they only scored four goals in nine rounds!
Considering that neither team looks good offensively at the moment, we believe that an under 2.5 goals bet is the safest option for this Copa del Rey tie.
Eldense team news
In the previous game vs Racing Santander, winger Ivan Chapela suffered an injury and had to leave the field after 41 minutes. Chapela scored three goals in 21 appearances and started in 76% of Eldense league games. His absence will definitely be a factor in this game.

Valencia team news
The team is having injury problems, and five players who missed the previous games should remain sidelined - Thierry Correia, Mouctar Diakhaby, Jose Gaya, Rafa Mir, and Fran Perez. Meanwhile, their best goalkeeper, Giorgi Mamardashvili, should recover on time for the upcoming game after missing the previous four with a leg injury he sustained in the Rayo Valledano game.
