East Bengal vs Mumbai City Betting Tips - Under 2.5 Goals

East Bengal return to ISL action on Monday after a disappointing 1:1 draw against ISL strugglers Hyderabad last weekend. Óscar Bruzón's side had picked up back-to-back home wins before their stalemate on the road last Saturday.

The home side have enjoyed a strong run of form in the past couple of months, remaining unbeaten in nine of ten games played since the end of October. Domestically, the Red and Gold Brigade picked up four wins while losing just one of their last seven ISL encounters.

Bruzón's men have seen plenty of low-scoring outcomes in recent weeks. Under 2.5 goals were scored in five of East Bengal´s last seven matches, and in four of their last six in Kolkata.

Previous encounters with Mumbai have also proven particularly tight. Six of their last seven meetings saw under 2.5 goals scored. Only seven goals were scored in those previous matchups since 2021.

Mumbai City make the trip to Kolkata after a shock 3:0 home reversal against NorthEast United last weekend. The Islanders had lost just one of ten previous matches before last weekend's surprise reversal at Mumbai Football Arena.

Last season's ISL cup winners have struggled to find top form in recent weeks, with only three goals scored across their last six matches. Petr Krátký's side did keep clean sheets in four successive games before their 3:0 defeat against NorthEast.

Considering both sides' recent form, and past encounters, a low-scoring outcome seems likely on Monday, so I'm putting my money on under 2.5 goals scored in Kolkata.
