In the first round of the Europa League, one of the most interesting games will be between Ukrainian vice-champions Dynamo Kyiv and the Italian powerhouse - Lazio. The game will take place at a neutral stadium, around 1600 km from Kyiv, at Volksparkstadion in Hamburg.
If we exclude the 2022/23 season, Dynamo Kyiv have been either the best or the second-best team in Ukraine in the previous decade. Considering all the above, both teams to score should be the safest option for this Europa League tie.

After a goalless draw against Rukh Lviv, coach Oleksandr Shovkovskyi spoke to the media. He said it was an interesting game with a lot of chances on both sides, but it somehow ended without goals. When asked whether they failed to win because he rotated the squad, the coach responded:" You know, we can't play with 12 or 15 players, especially since 16 of our players were involved in the national teams."
The coach also said that Nazar Voloshyn Voloshyn and Mykola Mykhailenko will definitely miss the Lazio game and that Denys Popov is questionable but should be ready.

After a 2:1 loss against Fiorentina, coach Marco Baroni spoke to the media. He was unhappy with the penalties awarded but did not blame the referees. He simply said he doesn't like the refereeing criteria in today's football. "The player cannot even try to block a cross without risking a penalty," Baroni said. The coach also said that the team is playing well and creating opportunities but noted they need to have more bodies in the box to attack the goal.
The team should have no new injuries, but Taty Castellanos and Samuel Gigot, who missed the previous game(s), should remain sidelined.
