Crystal Palace continue their search for their first win of the 2024-25 campaign when they host Championship Norwich City on Sunday afternoon.
The hosts enjoyed a dream end to last season. Oliver Glasner's side ended the 2023-24 campaign on a seven-match unbeaten run, beating the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Aston Villa in the process, but maintaining that form has proved difficult, especially with Michael Olise's move to Bayern. Crystal Palace have played two games, losing both and conceding four goals.
Norwich City meanwhile have tasted defeat once this season. The visitors began their 2024-25 campaign with defeat to Oxford Utd on Championship matchday 1 but they responded well. A win over Stevenage in the first round of the League Cup at Carrow Road where they scored four goals was followed back to back draws against Blackburn Rovers and Sheffield United.
Crystal Palace vs Norwich City Betting Tips: Over 2.5 goals
Palace struggled to keep a clean sheet during preseason and that problem has not been resolved. The Eagles enter this game with a run of seven consecutive games without a clean sheet and both teams scored in all but one of those encounters. Over 2.5 goals were seen in four of those matches.
Norwich City’s games so far this season have been very entertaining. Both sides scored in all three matches with averagely three goals seen per game. The visitors also have a great record against Crystal Palace when it comes to scoring goals with the Canaries scoring in two of three meetings between the two sides.
- Best Tip: Over 2.5 goals
- Crystal Palace vs Norwich City prediction: 2-1
