Crystal Palace vs Newcastle Betting Tips - Under 2.5 Goals

A tight EPL encounter could be on the cards in London as two sides struggling for form look to get their season back-on-track.

Crystal Palace come into this weekend's matchup winless in three matches after a 2:2 draw at Aston Villa last weekend. While Oliver Glasner´s side have proven tough to beat this season, a miserable record of one win from 12 games played leaves the Eagles inside the drop zone with only points to their name,

Low-scoring outcomes have been frequent at this venue. Only one of Palace´s last six home games saw more than two goals scored, while an average of just 1.66 goals scored per game at Selhurst Park. Glasner´s boys failed to score in three of their last four most recent games on their own turf.

Newcastle make the trip to London after a hugely disappointing 2:0 defeat against West Ham last week. While not in relegation trouble like the home side, the Magpies have struggled to find much consistency this season. Eddie Howe´s men won five but lost four of 12 EPL games played since August. Similarly inconsistent in away matches, Newcastle won six but lost six of 14 road matches played since February.

A tough match to pick a winner, history suggests we can expect a low-scoring outcome where BTTS is unlikely to land. Remarkably, just two of their last 16 encounters saw more than two goals scored, while only three of those games saw both teams scoring.

With those numbers in mind, I'm putting my money on under 2.5 goals scored on Saturday.
