Two English top flight sides just seven points apart meet on Saturday afternoon as Crystal Palace play host to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Crystal Palace's five-match unbeaten run was put to the test when they visited relegation favorites Southampton in midweek. The Eagles were left stunned as they had to wait until injury time to secure a point, thanks to a late goal from Matheus França. However, Eberechi Eze and Co will be confident of getting back to winning ways this weekend, having won each of their last two home games.
Brighton, meanwhile, hosted Aston Villa in search of a fourth successive home win. The Seagulls were demolished, giving away 2+ goals for the second league game in a row and also failed to score for the second game in a row. But don't expect this goal drought to continue, as the last time Brighton failed to score in three consecutive games was over a year ago, in January 2024.
Crystal Palace vs Brighton Betting Tips: Both teams to score
Palace boast five clean sheets from their last nine competitive encounters, but just one of those came at Selhurst Park. The Eagles failed to keep a clean sheet in four of their last five home encounters and as many games ended with under 2.5 goals.
The defeat to Villa last time out was the fourth straight Premier League game that Brighton failed to keep a clean sheet. Fabian Hürzelers’ men shipped a total of seven goals in that spell and all four encounters ended with both sides on the scoresheet.
